No game sounds since uptdating to 1.17 on XBOX

Since updating to Minecraft 1.17 on my xbox, there has been no game sounds.  This applies to  gameplay and menues.   I have tried resetting sound settings re-loading game, no change.   I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, also no change.    All other Xbox sounds work fine when accessed.    No other games or apps are affected.
