Diamond Spawn Rate

So basically I've seen alot of people post about the spawn rate of diamonds in the new 1.17 update,  I personally went to check it out and there sure is no diamonds,  there's only veins of 1-4 and no 8 veins or anything anywhere,  this is stopping me and my friends from making a new world to play.
