Enderman can pick up a dog while it's sitting down

This only happens sometimes. So while I was streaming, I found an enderman right nextto my dog which was sitting. I remember that I put my dog on the bed sitted. When I heard an enderman noice I immediately turned around and saw them right next to each other and the dog out of the bed.
