The game starts with the player dead and the item disappears

When I saved and finished at night, the next time I started, it started from the dead state (it was displayed as "stabbed by a Drowned"), and there are no items that should have been dead and scattered. Since I was on Mushroom Island, I searched all over the island and checked if there were any items floating on the sea, but it seems that all the items were lost.
During the adventure, I was shocked to find that I had put a lot of treasure in the shulker box, and even had enchantment weapons and armor, and Elytra.
I haven't seen this before, so I think it's a new bug caused by the update.
Is there any compensation for lost items?
