Budding amethyst does not drop itself when broken

Budding amethyst doesn't break

I've tried to break the budding amethyst with both a silk touch and a fortune 3 pickaxe (both of which have other enchantments on it) and in both scenarios it doesn't break. There are two images: one before the geode was broken and one after. As you can see, the torch-- which was placed onto the block in question-- was broken and collected into my inventory. However, the budding geode amethyst was broken and no item entity was generated. At the time the picture was taken, I had used my silk touch pickaxe, which also includes unbreaking 3, efficiency 4 and mending (in that order). The same problem occurs with my Fortune 3 pickaxe, which has unbreaking 3, mending, and efficiency 4 (in that order). The non-budding amethysts do however breack and I can collect them.
