Heavy amounts of lag with the new 1.17 update

My ipad is fairly new. Has low storage. When running the 1.16 updates it worked perfectly fine, but now with 1.17 it seems to of really slowed down. I know it isn’t my device as other stuff works fast. Just not Minecraft
