Server won't load on Nintendo switch

When I try to play Minecraft on my Nintendo switch ever since the 1.17 update that was released this week I cannot access the servers, they do not ping and I get a "server unavailable" notice when trying to connect. I have restarted my console and my wifi. I have tried different networks. I have deleted game data and have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. None of this helps. It just indefinitely tries to connect to the list of available servers.
