I can't place blocks at all.

So, this is happening to me on my xbox, I don't know if its happening to anyone else, but when ever I try to place something (Block, torch bucket of water anything) it just woulden't worked, I tried another game and my left trigger worked fine, so it has to be the game. My right trigger works, my left just wont. Again , I don't know how many other people are dealing with this but I am. This is 1.17. I know its new so it would have some bugs in it, but if I can't place anything, I cant play the game.
