Waterlogged trapdoors don't stop water from flowing

Summary

waterlogged trapdoors don't stop water from flowing like in java does,
In other versions you can waterlog a trapdoor then open it to stop the water to flow but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Seps to reproduce

1. Place a trapdoor in a wall or any block surrounding it
2. Break the block on front of (the block where when you open it's door is leaning
3. Waterlog it
4.open the trapdoor

Expected results

The trap door should stop the water from flowing

Observed results

The water kept flowing
