Minecraft Closes upon Start up

Having purchased and downloaded the Minecraft Beta version for Windows 10 on my machine, it is not possible to start the application.
If I open the application through Microsoft Store or Start--> Minecraft... the result is the same: Mojang blank splash screen appears for like a second that completely disappears.
Strange thing is that I cannot see Minecraft client or application in the list of installed programs
