/Kick command

The /kick command works but the only thing is that now you can only kick one specific person instead of doing for example "@a" or "@a[tag=kick]" etc. I'm not sure if this was intended or not for the new 1.17 update but it only allows you to kick one specific person. When attempting to do "@a" etc. the previous output says you have to enter the name of the player of who you would like to kick. Thank you for time and I hope that this problem gets fixed.
