GUI scale resetting to -2

When I boot up the PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft bedrock the GUI scale resets itself to -2.

How to reproduce
1. Set your GUI to anything other then -2 (for the sake of demonstration it’s best to set it to -3 or -1)
2. Close and reopen Minecraft bedrock
3. When you re-enter the GUI will be set back to -2 even though it’s set to to something else (moving the slider back to -2 will have no effect)

This can be fixed by just moving the slider back and forth but it is quite annoying. If it helps I play on the PlayStation 5 with a 4K TV, just in case it might have something to do with scaling relative to resolution.
