Portals are teleporting wrong

I created a portal at cords 7000 in the nether and what happened was I got teleported back to the nether but 56000 blocks away, those should be the coordinates i teleport in the overworld but I teleported that in the nether. my heart's hunger and bubbles kept flashing and this has happened more than once.
