Slime ball to slime block crafting recipe doesn't work

When 9 slime balls are put into a crafting table's matrix, there is no slime block in the output box. Since I cannot craft a slime block, other slime recipes may be affected as well, but I am unable to find out. Is this issue fixed in 0.13.2? If so, how do I update from version 0.13.1 to 0.13.2?
