Can't login to microsoft account

When trying to login to my microsoft account nothing happens.  I go to aka.ms/remoteconnect and enter the code given. microsoft says i am logged in but when i return to my swicth i am not logged in. I have tried creating a new microsoft account as well and to no avail...
