Trapdoors in Bedrock edition can't hold certain items such as lanterns or pots

In Java, trapdoors such as Spruce Trapdoors can be used to hold lanterns and pots, but you cannot do this in Bedrock, making certain builds impossible. Unsure if intended or bug?
