Save and quit "end" glitch

PLEASE NOTE: I had to mark it as 1.17 because it wouldn't let me do 1.7. So, I was saving and quitting my world, because I had to do stuff. When I went to log out, it starting flickering and saying "saving". After 4 minutes if it going crazy, it finally said, " done". Then it went pitch black for a few seconds. Then it showed that I was in the end? I couldn't open my inventory, see my hotbar, or the control pad. I moved around and it looked weird.
