Friends Online

Hello. My name is Demetrius Rorie. I have Minecraft on my PC and my daughter Kassidie Rorie has Minecraft on her Nintendo Switch. Now if she is on her Switch for awhile and I come on to join her. It won't show her on my PC. I have to have her fully close out the app and then go back on for it to show her on my friend's list that are online. My profile is HollaWay00 on the PC. Hers is BoogaButt16 on the Switch. Is there a solution that can fix this problem and not result in me having to close her app and cut it back on every time we are trying to play together?
