when leaving the nether to the overworld i catch on fire

when i leave the nether portal back to overworld i catch on fire. i blocked the lavas: but i still catch on fire. for now i just put some water. pls can you do soemthing. and also its located in a ravine below a village y 11 and the biome is the basalt delta in the nether.
