How To Train your Dragon map won't render

I recently got the new how to train your dragon DLC and whenever I try to play it the game won't fully render! I can see right through the map, I can barely go beyond Berk without the game crashing or lagging, the sounds are delayed and it takes a long time to even pull up the menu. Please fix this issue I'm trying to enjoy the game but this is making it very hard.
