0 tick farms don't work anymore

Hello,
After the last update I have noticed that my sugar cane and bamboo farms nolonger work to produce drops. THe pistons and water still moves as they should but it doesn't cause them to grow anymore. They were working fine before.
I used the JCPlayz tutorials to build both of them,
So is it just me or is it a bug . Or did they patch the 0ticks.
