Villagers trade boxes all red and they won’t trade anymore.

I have a villager trading hall in my Minecraft world. I left to go find a woodland mansion and when I returned all the villagers trade boxes were red. They didn’t have the red X’s over trades, the grey boxes were just red for some reason. After that they refuse to trade with me anymore. It’s not just those villagers either, a wandering trader spawned recently and all of its trade boxes were red too.
