Unable To Join Players on Newer Version than Editions

When Minecraft on PS4 was updated to Bedrock, if you had the game before the update, you now have access to a version of Minecraft called Editions, accessed in the main menu of the game.

When I am host of a world (Even in just simple Bedrock), I cannot have anyone join me that does not have access to Editions. When I join the world of someone who does not have Editions, I very quickly lose the ability to interact with the world, I cannot use my inventory, any blocks I interact with either lag on the host's end or just do not change at all.

I have tried multiple network fixes, different internet connections, port forwarding, you name it. No fix. I have tried the suggested fixes on the games site to no avail.

The only consistent detail between all issues I face with the game is whether or not the other player has access to Editions.
