Sometimes the game lags even on offline survival

Sometimes the game lag even though I am playing on offline survival. Like when eating something something, the eating animation is shown two times and durable of eating is doubled, taking damage 2secs after getting hit. Although I have noticed this more commonly when the phone is hot.
