Flowing lava and water are not continuous

So I was playing on 1.17.0.52 beta release of the game and like a normal person I created a mine leading to the giant caves, now there was also a ravine in the cave the lava and the water flowing from top of the ravine, or anywhere in the cave were not  flowing continues pattern it was staggered as shown in the given pictures.
