Cannot feed dolphin

Hi i downloaded Minecraft PE beta and i created a new world  and i created a pond and release d dolphins in when i feed them underwater my character is stuck on eathing fish until i try to do someting else in creative mode  and i dont pres and hold toouse this its automatic i tryed it several times
