Losing my whole inventory due to disconnecting after joining a few hours later

I was playing with my brother in his world and got disconnected when he accidentally turned his phone off, I rejoined his world a few hours later (I didnt see his world so I joined some time later) after joining his world again I lost my whole inventory.
