Can't jump in game

When I load any world I can't jump. A on my controller does not work in game. Settings screens it works but when I try to play, nothing. I went into multiple worlds then uninstalled and reinstalled game, still didn't work. And for some reason I have air bubbles on my screen as of I'm under water. Also I can't go up or down,  I'm literally walking in the air on survival mode.
