Cute Dinosaurs - ability to mine stopped working

I paid for and downloaded Cute Dinosaurs for my son and after about an hour of play, the ability to mine just stopped working. He can do all the other actions but not mining.

(I don't know if this is the correct affect version as I am unfamiliar with that - also unfamiliar if this is a realm??  NOOB here)
