signs will not color right, they only tint the text.

The recent bug fix allowing crafters to dye the text of signs was great, working fine, for a while. Then after about four days coloring the signs would only tint the text instead of coloring it. It just doesn't work right anymore.

When I try color the text using shortcuts it also only tints it, not a full dye of solid color.
