Color codes now appear darker on signs

Ever since you were able to dye a sign by using (blue dye), the color code for that color (§1) now appears as if the sign was dyed, and only on signs. This is really annoying because I liked the vibrant colors on signs and was wondering if there was another way to get these vibrant colors on signs. They still appear everywhere else. I am not sure if this is a bug or intentional but I hope it gets fixed either way.
