When i go to nether my bow disappears

When i go to nether my bow disappears, i mean its there in hot bar and i can use it but it dosent shows in hand or holding in hand just empty and yes it happens every time i go to nether, wich is annoying, is this a bug? It will be much appreciated if you look into it,have a nice day
