Mining an amethyst cluster barehanded doesn't drop anything

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Place multiple amethyst clusters;
2. In survival mine some with your hands and remove the supporting blocks of the rest.

Observed Results:
You get two shards for each supporting block removed, but none for the mined clusters.

Expected Results:
Every cluster drops two shards, mimicking the behavior seen in Java.
