No xp being dropped

There is no xp being dropped. If I kill an animal, no meat is dropped and no xp. Same goes if I kill a monster, no xp is dropped from that. If I go mining, only Iron or coal (etc) is dropped but no xp.

I did die recently after the update. I was exploring and brought a bed with me that I had slept in. When I died the bed was on me so I respawned in a random place. I was able to get back to where I died and collected my stuff and lost xp but since then I've been stuck on 7 and no xp is dropped from anything I do.

I have restarted the game and ps4 multiple times. I even deleted and reinstalled the game but it is still the same problem.
