Invisible Paintings

Just discovered that when I attempt to place a painting (in both survival and creative mode), it is invisible/doesn't appear. However, when I break where I placed it the particles still show up. I can hear it placing, and can hear it breaking, but there is no painting actually on the blocks. Not sure if others have had this same issue. I made sure there were no updates, and even completely shut down my PC and turned it back on again - same issue. See attached video files for proof.
