Farmer Villagers not accepting pumpkins even though it is one of their trades

Any villager leveled up to apprentice who wants pumpkins as trade will not accept pumpkins saying"The Trader does not want this" if trying to trade the pumpkins for an emerald, screenshots are not available sorry.

How to replicate: Get a farmer villager that trades Emeralds for pumpkins on apprentice level.
Next level him up to apprentice level.

Finally, try to trade pumpkins with the farmer.
