Microsoft Account issues to connect when playing on switch

The game always struggles to connect the Microsoft account when trying to play on my switch console. Then will randomly disconnect in the middle of a game. For the past few days it hasn't let me connect at all. Which means I cannot play with friends. I have multiple friends who have a switch and have this same issue.
