Netherite boots are not properly disenchanted

The problem I have is that I accidentally put a useless enchantment on my Netherite boots. Now I have disenchanted it on the grindstone and any further enchantment on the anvil fails. If I put now only the "naked" boots (without a book) in the anvil, I was told that it was "Too expensive".
