Issue to cancel joining a multiplayer world

I am having an issue when I try to cancel joining a friend's world. When I press cancel I am stuck on the 'locating server' message forever unless I close the game. This has been in the game for a while now. I have reported this issue before but apparently this has been 'resolved' by which it hasn't. Please be aware of this issue and fix it properly.
