PS4 Paintings and Dying Signs

So Ive been saving and quiting my world to see if it would change anything but whenever i put down a painting on a wall it doesnt appear but whenever i break wherever i put it, itll give me the painting back but it still wont appear?? And the newest version i believe said that you can change the color of a sign with dye but it also hasnt shown. Ive logged in and out of the world to see if anything would change and it didnt?
