Massive lag since 1.16.220 update

Since the update I'm experiencing major lag when activating redstone circuits, using my elytra or eating. The eating animation skips continuously and I can't refill my health bar. When using elytra the action lags and I crash before they activate, similarly the firework rockets launch a few seconds after. 

I'm playing on an iphone 11. I just tested it on an existing creative world and there are no issues, it seems to be only in my survival world
