Invisible painting

I updated my Minecraft game and I've been having problems with the painting. All the paintings in my world have turned invisible and when I place one it's invisible. I know it is invisible because when I place a painting on a wall and mine. It would break as if a painting was there. I though the issue was mods but I don't think it's the case because before the update, I played with mods on my creative worlds and paintings were fine. I also checked my other worlds that do not have mods and the problem with paintings are still there. I then switched to the beta to see if the problem would be resolved but it is still there. In conclusion I think the most recent update has caused this problem.
