Windows 10 joining multiplayer world

When I start Minecraft on Windows it takes longer to load than usual, then once I'm in Minecraft everything seems fine until I start joining my world on my Xbox, it comes up with joining multiplayer game, but stays like that for ages until it finally stops and doesn't let me access the menus.
