Sugar cane naturally generates in oceans and rivers

When I was speed running on a seed without caves and cliffs enabled I saw sugar cane generating absolutely everywhere in oceans and rivers on top of the water. Clearly this is a bug so I came here to report it. It does look kind of cool though.
