Minecraft stopped working on my Nintendo Switch.

Minecraft on my Switch stopped working. After I choose a user the screen turns black. When I try to close the game I get an error. Sometimes after waiting for about an hour, the game will start. It is frustrating to sit and wait for the game to begin. HELP!!!
