Skins not appearing properly to other players

We had purchased the Minecraft star wars DLC mash up, and the skins appeared as usual but towards other player's they appear as the default skin (Steve). Can this bug be fixed please.

 

 

e.g - player 1 (left side) is in third person seen as Darth Vader skin and player 2 (right side) is seen in first person looking at player 1 and as you can see, player 2 see's player 1 as the default skin (Steve)
