Bug Collecting Honeycomb

I've been trying for several hours to try and collect honeycomb from the two bee nests I have in my farm but every time I sheer them, no pieces of honeycomb fall out of the nest but it does_ somehow make the sheering sound. I'm guessing the bug is that I just can't get honeycomb.
