Can't set worlds to multiplayer

At the moment no one can join any of my worlds. When I get to the settings of a world from the"Worlds" tab, the "multiplayer game" switch is on. However when I go into the world and access settings that way, it says that the "multiplayer game" is toggled off. I have tried multiple things such as checking my xbox privacy settings, but nothing else is amiss.
