Not getting teammates

In Minecraft treasure wars, I have been experiencing a very impactful bug. When I join a game and click that I would like to play duos, it does not give me a teammate. This has happened to me over 20 times and I am fed up. Without a teammate, I cannot play the game as it is intended. I do not understand why this happens to me so much but I would like to fix it.
