My villagers are disapearing with no reason

My villagers and other mobs disappear for no reason. They can be named, have armor, and/or be tethered to fences and still vanish with no trace. I've lost a mending villager, a horse (with diamond horse armor on), and more due to this dumb bug. I'm very upset at the game rn
